Join the Strengthening Families Parenting Program in Simpsonville, SC

We’re proud to offer the Strengthening Families Program here at the Center for Community Services in the Golden Strip!

The Strengthening Families Program is a nationally and internationally recognized program designed to bring families together, reduce problem behavior and the potential for drug and alcohol abuse, improve family togetherness, school performance, and more.

When families struggle to communicate and don’t feel much connection to one another, it can cause serious problems at school and at home. The Strengthening Families program was specially designed to address these concerns and larger issues and help build a warm and welcoming home environment to help give younger and older children the best start in life.

Over the course of fourteen sessions, parents and children aged 6-11 will discuss issues like peer pressure, stresses in the home environment, issues with communication, and other potential problems. They’ll also work on strengthening family bonds, communicating openly and  effectively, planning for the future, and learn how to move forward as a family.

We offer two groups of classes, one each on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, giving families the option of choosing which night works best for them. Classes are held at 1102 Howard Drive in Simpsonville, SC.

Childcare is provided at no cost for younger children. We also provide FREE dinner, gifts, and raffle prizes for program attendees!

Families that complete the program will be celebrated in a graduation ceremony and receive a certificate of completion.

Current classes are:

Thursday Evening

6-8 p.m.
January 18-May 3, 2018
