Utility and Food Assistance: For When You Need Help Now
When you’re looking at an empty bank account, utility bills coming due, and you have no idea where you’re going to find the money to afford your essential prescription medications and food to survive, things can begin to feel truly desperate. There’s where the Center for Community Services comes in.
We provide emergency help with utilities, prescription assistance for life-saving medications, food boxes, and assistance with applying for SNAP and WIC to help our clients make it through hard times.
Give us a call at (864) 688-2233 (or come to Building #7) to learn more about our utility and food assistance programs. Our hours at Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9 AM – 11:30 AM, and Wednesday from 1 pm – 3:30 pm.
What to Bring:
Social Security Cards
Social Security cards for yourself and your family
A Photo ID
Such as a Driver’s License or SC State ID
Proof of Residency
Such as a dated utility bill that includes your name and address
Proof of Income
Recent tax returns or bank statements
