Utility and Food Assistance: For When You Need Help Now

*To qualify for food or utility assistance through CCS, you must reside in Fountain Inn (29644), Simpsonville (29680, 29681), or Mauldin (29662).*

When you’re looking at an empty bank account, utility bills coming due, and you have no idea where you’re going to find the money to afford food to survive, things can begin to feel truly desperate. That’s where the Center for Community Services comes in.

We provide emergency help with utilities, food boxes, and assistance finding necessary resources to help our clients navigate hard times.

Give us a call at (864) 688-2233 to learn more about our utility program. To learn more about our food assistance program please call (864) 688-2215. Food box distribution hours are Monday from 9 a.m. – 11:30 a.m., Wednesday from 1 p.m. – 3:30 p.m., and Friday from 9 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

What to Bring:

A Photo ID

Such as a Driver’s License or SC State ID

Proof of Residency

For Utility Assistance please provide your most recent utility bill (must show name, address, account number, and amount due). To be assisted, you must reside within zip code 29644, 29680, 29681, or 29662.

Proof of Income

Proof of income for the past 30 days for all household members

Documentation of Financial Hardship

Such as job loss or reduced hours, receipts for medical bills, receipts for unexpected expenses such as car repairs or home repairs.
